Led by Reverend Dr. Jamie Franklin and Reverend Thomas Pelham, Irreverend: Faith and Current Affairs provides theological critique of contemporary British society and the institutional Church of England. Operating as a critical voice within the Anglican tradition, the production explores the intersection of conservative politics and orthodox Christianity. The hosts regularly produce the Wednesday Edition featuring academic specialists and the Emergency Pod series to address breaking ecclesiastical news. Notable content includes long-form discussions with intellectual figures such as Nigel Biggar and Lord Frost, alongside critical responses to the Archbishop of Canterbury’s public statements. A recent win for the channel was the All's Well That Ends Welby special, which offered detailed analysis of shifts in Church leadership. By blending parish experience with literary and philosophical depth, the program serves as a primary resource for audiences interested in traditionalist perspectives on social issues, ranging from climate policy to the defense of classical liturgy.
