Terrapin Beer Co. is a craft brewery based in Athens, Georgia, founded in 2002 by Brian “Spike” Buckowski and John Cochran. The brewery emerged from the founders' desire to create high-quality craft beers after their experiences at a previous brewery. The name "Terrapin" reflects their cultural influences, inspired by the Grateful Dead’s album *Terrapin Station*.

Since establishing its own brewery in 2007, Terrapin has gained recognition for its innovative beers, including the award-winning Rye Pale Ale and the popular Hopsecutioner IPA. The brewery produces a diverse range of styles, such as imperial red ales, coffee stouts, and oatmeal stouts, showcasing bold flavors and unique ingredients. Terrapin is also committed to sustainability and community engagement through initiatives like the *Terraprint* program.
