Shiner Texas Spirits

Spoetzl Brewery, established in 1909 and located in Shiner, Texas, is the oldest independent brewery in the state and one of the oldest in the U.S. Founded by German and Czech immigrants, the brewery originally aimed to recreate traditional beers using local artesian water. It was renamed after Kosmos Spoetzl, a Bavarian-trained brewmaster who acquired the company in 1915 and introduced a family recipe for Bavarian beer.

The brewery's flagship product is Shiner Beer, which has expanded from local sales to distribution in 48 states. Spoetzl Brewery offers a variety of beers, including Shiner Premium, Shiner Bock, and seasonal options like Strawberry Blonde and Lemonade Shandy. They also produce private label brews such as Texas Tap and Gilley’s.
