CitiPower and Powercor are the largest electricity distribution companies in Victoria, serving over 1.1 million homes and businesses across Melbourne and central and western Victoria. They are part of the Victoria Power Networks group and employ more than 2,000 people dedicated to delivering safe and reliable electricity.

CitiPower supplies electricity to around 332,000 customer connections in Melbourne’s CBD and inner suburbs, including residential areas and major public facilities. Powercor covers a larger area, providing electricity to 64% of Victoria, serving approximately 844,000 customers, including households and over 11,000 commercial and industrial businesses. Their operations include managing an extensive network of power lines, substations, and street lighting, ensuring high network availability and reliability. They also support the clean energy transition through innovative projects like community batteries and smart electric vehicle charging.
