Omega Institute

Omega Institute for Holistic Studies is a nonprofit educational organization located on a 250+ acre campus in Rhinebeck, New York. Founded in 1977, it aims to foster personal growth, social change, and holistic well-being through innovative educational experiences. Inspired by the teachings of Sufi mystic Pir Vilayat Inayat Khan and philosopher Pierre Teilhard de Chardin, Omega offers a variety of workshops, retreats, conferences, and professional training, both in-person and online.

The institute hosts over 300 workshops annually, attracting more than 25,000 participants each year. Its educational framework emphasizes inspired learning, holistic living, and community engagement. The campus features notable facilities such as the Sanctuary, the Ram Dass Library, and the Omega Center for Sustainable Living, all designed with simplicity and sustainability in mind. Omega's mission is to provide hope and healing through experiences that awaken human potential, serving a diverse community interested in holistic health, spirituality, and social transformation.
