Center for Christianity and Public Life

The Center for Christianity and Public Life (CCPL) is a nonpartisan nonprofit organization based in Washington, D.C., founded in 2022. Its mission is to enhance the credibility of Christian resources in public life for the public good, fostering healthier politics and civic engagement through positive Christian contributions.

CCPL focuses on two main areas: Civic Renewal and Public Imagination. The Civic Renewal stream supports Christians in civic engagement through programs like the Public Life Fellowship and the Community of Young Christians in Politics. The Public Imagination stream aims to explain Christianity to the public and provide resources that promote love and service. This includes hosting events such as the annual summit "For the Good of the Public" and producing research publications.

Led by founder and CEO Michael Wear, CCPL emphasizes the importance of spiritual formation in shaping American democracy. The organization engages with a diverse audience, including Christian civic leaders, young Christians interested in politics, and scholars, aiming to create a more constructive political culture informed by Christian values.
