Scary Story Kids is a family-friendly audio fiction podcast delivering short, spooky tales crafted specifically for children aged 8 and up. Hosted by Edwin Covarrubias, each episode presents an original short story—featuring ghosts, nightmares, mythical creatures, and eerie mysteries—designed to thrill without overwhelming young listeners' emotional boundaries. The tone balances suspense with warmth, using a friendly, reassuring narrative voice to make scary storytelling approachable and safe for kids and parents alike. Episodes are concise, self-contained narratives (e.g., "The Dream Maker," "The Seashell," "Meat for Sale") that explore themes like nightmares, cautionary lessons, and supernatural encounters, often ending with a thought-provoking question to spark imagination and discussion. Ideal for families seeking bedtime or road-trip listening, the show appeals to kids who enjoy age-appropriate horror, mystery, and adventure fiction, as well as parents looking for creative, screen-free entertainment that nurtures storytelling appreciation while respecting sensitivity around fear. An ad-free version and parental guidance resources are available via companion sites ScaryPlus.com and ScaryStoryKids.com.
