USA Cycling

USA Cycling (USAC) is the national governing body for bicycle racing in the United States, based in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Established in 1920, it oversees various cycling disciplines, including road, track, mountain bike, cyclo-cross, and BMX, catering to athletes of all ages and skill levels. The organization operates from a 26,000-square-foot facility and has evolved through several changes to become USA Cycling, Inc. in 1995.

USAC governs competitive cycling by setting rules and safety standards in line with international bodies. It organizes major cycling events, such as the USA Cycling Pro Road Tour, and supports athlete development through programs for youth, amateur, collegiate, and professional cyclists. The organization maintains seven sport committees that focus on discipline-specific governance and development. Additionally, USA Cycling offers membership services, including race licenses, insurance, and access to sanctioned events, along with educational resources and coaching certifications. With over 61,000 individual members, USA Cycling serves a diverse community of cyclists, clubs, teams, and officials.
