The Momentary

The Momentary is a contemporary art space in Bentonville, Arkansas, and serves as a satellite venue of the Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art. Opened on February 22, 2020, it occupies a repurposed 63,000-square-foot former Kraft cheese manufacturing facility. The venue is designed to be a multidisciplinary cultural hub, integrating visual and performing arts, culinary experiences, festivals, and artist residencies. Its mission is to enhance community life through creativity and connection.

Founded by the Walton family and supported by the Walton Family Foundation, The Momentary aims to enrich the cultural vitality of Northwest Arkansas. The facility features rotating exhibitions, live performances, culinary events, and community gatherings. It also offers residency programs for artists, fostering collaboration and creative development. The design of the building preserves its industrial history while incorporating modern materials, creating a dynamic environment that welcomes a diverse audience of art enthusiasts and community members.
