Our Lady of the Lake

Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center (OLOLRMC) is a nonprofit, Catholic healthcare institution located in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Established in 1923, it is the largest private medical center in the state and ranks among the 25 largest hospitals in the United States. With over 900 licensed beds and more than 7,500 employees, including nearly 3,000 active physicians, OLOLRMC offers a comprehensive range of services for both pediatric and adult patients.

The medical center is recognized for its excellence in various specialties, including heart and vascular care, trauma services, stroke treatment, and cancer care. It features a Level I Trauma Center, the only one in the Capital Region, and a dedicated Children’s Hospital that includes a pediatric trauma emergency department. OLOLRMC also provides advanced cancer treatment options, including the only peripheral blood stem cell transplantation program in the Baton Rouge area. As a primary teaching site for medical education, it collaborates with several medical schools and emphasizes compassionate care and clinical expertise in its mission to enhance community health.
