New Era Cap Company is a renowned American headwear manufacturer established in 1920 in Buffalo, New York. Originally named the E. Koch Cap Company, it began by producing Gatsby-style caps before shifting focus to baseball caps in the 1930s. The company secured its first Major League Baseball (MLB) contract in 1934, which laid the foundation for its long-standing relationship with professional sports.

New Era is best known for its innovative cap designs, particularly the 59FIFTY fitted cap introduced in 1954. This design became the official on-field cap for all MLB teams in 1993 and continues to be a staple. The company has expanded its offerings to include licensed caps for the NFL, NBA, and various international sports leagues. New Era also caters to fashion and streetwear markets, providing custom and promotional caps for teams and organizations, and has established a strong presence in urban fashion through collaborations and unique designs.
