Task Force Argo is a U.S.-based volunteer organization established on August 16, 2021. It focuses on evacuating U.S. citizens, their families, and Afghan allies from Afghanistan following the Fall of Kabul. The task force is primarily made up of American veterans, active duty service members, intelligence personnel, law enforcement officers, and other experts who coordinate evacuation efforts and provide support for Afghan allies.
The organization aims to help Afghan allies secure lawful pathways to U.S. citizenship and assist them in escaping the Taliban regime. Task Force Argo also supports resettled Afghan families in adapting to life in the United States by connecting them with necessary resources. Since its inception, the group has successfully evacuated over 2,200 individuals and continues its efforts to assist more. The leadership includes founder Jesse Jensen, Iowa State Senator Zach Nunn, and defense industry executive Munjeet Singh, and the organization is fiscally sponsored by the Special Operations Association of America.
