Mercy Ships

Mercy Ships is an international humanitarian organization founded in 1978, dedicated to providing hope and healing to underserved populations through hospital ships. Operating primarily in developing nations, especially in Africa, Mercy Ships delivers free, high-quality medical care to those with limited access to surgical and medical services.

The organization offers life-changing surgeries for various treatable conditions, medical consultations, and dental procedures aboard its hospital ships. It also focuses on training and mentoring local healthcare professionals to enhance the capacity of national healthcare systems. With a volunteer crew of over 2,500 professionals from more than 60 countries, Mercy Ships creates a safe and sterile environment for patients and volunteers alike.
