Let's Be Honest is dedicated to utilizing the transformative power of storytelling to facilitate the process of forgiveness and normalize reconciliation within the criminal justice system. This organization believes the gateway to closure and healing can be found in shared and honest narratives that can bridge the gap between the act of conflict, and the individuals it affects.

Forgiveness is not a linear path, nor is any narrative for individuals who come in contact with the criminal justice system. For the protection of individual or economic reputations, nuanced hurdles or unsound complexities are often hidden from public display. The films created from the gathered participants set out to embrace the disordered yet intricate nature of forgiveness from a variety of unique perspectives and backgrounds. Those who partake will be met with sensitivity, compassion, respect and the hope that in exchange, they will find a greater sense of closure and improved overall well-being.

Through these projects, we hope to challenge harmful preconceived notions and encourage a shared sense of humanity between the incarcerated population and civilians. Join us in the movement of normalizing forgiveness, embracing the complexity and beauty of life, and providing healing for the physically, emotionally and mentally wounded.
