GRV

Greyhound Racing Victoria (GRV) is the official governing body for greyhound racing in Victoria, Australia. Established in 1873, GRV is responsible for the administration, regulation, and promotion of the sport across the state. It operates 13 racing tracks and conducts around 1,000 race meetings each year, distributing over $40 million in prize money annually.

GRV manages race scheduling and compliance with racing standards. It enforces rules and welfare standards for trainers, owners, and participants. The organization also runs the Fasttrack system, an online platform for race nominations and tracking results. Additionally, GRV supports the Greyhound Adoption Program (GAP), which helps rehome retired racing greyhounds. Through its various initiatives, GRV serves a wide community, including trainers, owners, bettors, and animal welfare advocates, while promoting the integrity and growth of greyhound racing in Victoria.
