Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art

Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art is a public, non-profit organization located in Bentonville, Arkansas. Founded by philanthropist Alice Walton, the museum opened on November 11, 2011, and features a striking 201,000-square-foot building designed by architect Moshe Safdie, set on a 120-acre campus. The museum aims to celebrate the American spirit by connecting art with nature and offers free admission to all visitors.

The museum houses over 3,500 works of American art, ranging from colonial times to contemporary pieces. Its extensive galleries include thematic exhibitions and temporary displays, along with outdoor sculpture trails that integrate art into the natural landscape. Crystal Bridges also provides educational programs, a library with over 50,000 art reference materials, and various guest amenities, including a restaurant and meeting spaces. Since its opening, the museum has welcomed nearly 785,000 visitors in 2023 and has become a cultural hub for the community, supported by significant contributions from the Walton Family Foundation.
