Compassion International

Compassion International is a Christian child sponsorship and humanitarian aid organization founded in 1952 by Reverend Everett Swanson. Based in Colorado Springs, Colorado, it aims to release children from poverty through holistic development programs grounded in Christian values. The organization began by supporting Korean War orphans and has since expanded to partner with over 8,500 local churches across 29 countries, serving more than 2.2 million children and young adults.

The core services include child sponsorship, which connects sponsors with children in need, providing essential support for nutrition, medical care, education, and spiritual growth. Compassion International also offers holistic child development programs that address the spiritual, economic, social, and physical needs of children.
