Overview

The PTSD Foundation of America is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting U.S. combat veterans and their families affected by post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and related combat trauma. Founded in 2005 in Houston, Texas, the Foundation aims to reduce veteran suicide rates and enhance the quality of life for those dealing with the challenges of PTSD.

The Foundation offers various programs, including Camp Hope, a residential recovery program that provides interim housing, counseling, and peer support in a nurturing environment. It also facilitates outreach and peer support services, including warrior support groups and crisis intervention. Additionally, Camp HOPE America serves children and teens exposed to domestic violence, offering trauma-informed support and mentoring. With chapters in multiple states, the Foundation actively engages communities to raise awareness and provide resources for veterans and their families.
