Bob Woodruff Foundation

The Bob Woodruff Foundation (BWF) is a national nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting injured service members, veterans, and their families. Founded in 2006 by journalist Bob Woodruff and his family, the foundation addresses the challenges faced by veterans, particularly those with hidden injuries like traumatic brain injury and post-traumatic stress. BWF complements government efforts by connecting with over 40,000 nonprofits that serve veterans.

BWF has invested over $15 million in more than 80 organizations, positively impacting over a million service members and their families. The foundation focuses on a wide range of services, including healing and rehabilitation, employment and education programs, mental health initiatives, housing assistance, and financial support. It also established a $5 million Natural Disaster Fund to assist veterans affected by natural disasters. With a commitment to accountability, approximately 86% of funds are directed to programs that enhance the quality of life for veterans and their families.
