Overview

The Bergen Performing Arts Center (bergenPAC) is a not-for-profit performing arts venue and school located in Englewood, New Jersey. Established in 1926 as the Englewood Plaza movie theater, it has evolved into one of the largest cultural institutions in northern New Jersey. After various ownership changes and renovations, bergenPAC reopened in 2003, featuring a range of live performances including music, theater, and dance.

In addition to hosting performances, bergenPAC operates the bergenPAC Performing Arts School, which offers classes in dance, theater, voice, and music for students aged 2 to 18. The school is committed to accessibility, ensuring that no student is turned away due to financial constraints. The center plays a vital role in the community, attracting diverse audiences and promoting arts education while preserving its historic architecture and acoustics.
