Anti-Defamation League

The Anti-Defamation League (ADL) is an international non-governmental organization based in New York City, founded in 1913. Its mission is to combat antisemitism, bigotry, and all forms of discrimination. The ADL was established in response to the wrongful conviction and lynching of Leo Frank, a Jewish factory executive, and aims to secure justice and fair treatment for all citizens.

The ADL operates approximately 30 regional offices across the United States, along with an office in Israel and representation in cities like Rome and Moscow. It provides a variety of services, including assessments of hate crimes, anti-bias and diversity training programs, and educational resources such as Holocaust education materials. The organization collaborates with law enforcement, educational institutions, and private sector organizations to promote understanding and reduce prejudice. Through advocacy and lobbying efforts, the ADL addresses civil rights issues and supports initiatives that align with its mission.
