Alzheimer's Association

The Alzheimer's Association of Northern California & Northern Nevada is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting individuals affected by Alzheimer's disease and related dementias. Established in 1980, it serves a wide area that includes Northern California and Northern Nevada, reaching over 700,000 people living with Alzheimer's in California and nearly 55,000 in Nevada, along with their caregivers.

The chapter's mission focuses on ending Alzheimer's through research, care, support, and advocacy. It offers various support services, including support groups, educational programs, and a 24/7 helpline for information and referrals. The organization also provides assistance to families, conducts educational initiatives to raise awareness, and advocates for the rights of those facing dementia. Volunteer opportunities are available, allowing community members to contribute in various roles. All services are offered free of charge, with resources available in both English and Spanish.
