Adopt U.S. Kids

AdoptUSKids is a national project focused on helping children and teens in foster care find safe and loving permanent families. It operates as a federally funded initiative that raises public awareness about the need for foster and adoptive families in the U.S. child welfare system.

The organization provides various services for families and child welfare professionals. For families, it offers guidance on foster care and adoption, access to a federally funded photolisting service that connects waiting children with prospective adoptive families, and support in searching for children approved for adoption. For child welfare professionals, AdoptUSKids supplies tools and resources to assist caseworkers, capacity-building services for agency managers, and professional development opportunities.

AdoptUSKids also engages in advocacy and awareness campaigns, collaborating with partners to promote the message that “you don’t have to be perfect to be a perfect parent.” Additionally, it manages a speakers bureau that shares personal stories to inspire others to consider foster care and adoption.
